Meyer Farms

What is CSA?

CSA is Community Supported Agriculture. It is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from the farmer! This year, Meyer Farms is offering a Farm Share Program for our CSA members! Farm Shares carry the same benefits as a typical CSA, but they allow you to make a commitment to buying healthy, local food, but they allow customers to use their dollars any day of the week that we are open—YOU choose what works best for you on any given week, and you choose what products you want! And, with a Farm Share, there is no need to worry about carrying cash for your shopping needs, your credit is on file. Farm Shares make excellent gifts, too!

Using Your Farm Shares

  • Use anytime between April 1st and October 31st of 2015
  • Use anytime the farm stand is open (hours posted on FB and website)
  • Show up once a week multiple times a week or not at all on any given week and use as much or as little of your Share as you wish each time you come by.
  • Choose from any* of the items that are available that day at our farmstand, and get as much or as little as you want.
  • Periodic specials will be available only to CSA Farm Share members

About Meyer Farms

Meyer Farms is USDA Certified Organic for our herbs and vegetables. Organic produce is grown without using specific conventional pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation.

We also have chickens on the farm that are free-range and fed an organic diet. Free-range animals are allowed continuous access to the outdoors during their production cycle. Currently we have a small flock of hens so our egg production is steady but not terribly large.

We also have 3 beehives on our farm, and our raw honey supply is also limited. At Meyer Farms, we promise to do our best to provide you with a bountiful selection of produce to choose from each week. The quantity of produce, however, may vary from week-to-week due to extreme weather, insects, or other production factors despite our best efforts.

We are committed to bringing organic food to Wauconda. For more information about organic production, please ask. We are proud of our farm and we’d be happy to tell you more!
